POSITION:
Plant
Breeder
Campbell’s Agricultural Research
Center, a division of
Campbell Soup
Company LLC, located at Davis, California, has an immediate
opening for a dynamic Plant Breeder to work on the development
of new tomato and Jalapeno pepper varieties.
The successful candidate will be
working within a team environment and will be actively involved
in the breeding of hybrid varieties from development to
commercialization in collaboration with Campbell’s Seeds,
Campbell Agricultural Operations, and Supply Chain. Interaction
with Company research groups involved in Integrated Pest
Management, product development, Campbell’s processing plants,
and the general processing tomato industry is expected. Some
domestic and international travel required.
Education
Ph.D.
degree preferred, or MS degree with minimum of five years
experience in plant breeding.
Salary
Commensurate with education and experience.
