Vibha Group is looking for suitable profiles for an Seed Production Officer position.

Job responsibilities

• Overseeing seed production through sustainable, reliable, cost effective and quality conscious seed production practices. 

• Identification of farmers and new production areas.

• Visiting all seed production sites regularly and assessing the crop.

• Training and educating the growers for adaption of best practices.

• Maintaining accurate record of all operations and providing updated information to HO.

• Monitoring various crop stages crop culture, pest and disease management, as well as pollination and seed harvest mechanisms and prompt feed back to HO.

Essential qualifications

• B Sc or M Sc degree in Agronomy/ Plant Breeding / Seed Science/ Entomology

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in seed production

• Knowledge of agricultural production systems.

• Strong ability in effective communication with farmers.

• Ability to travel extensively.

• Should have good Computer Skills.

Additional qualifications

• Fluency in local language a must.
