Vibha Group is looking for suitable profiles for an Seed Production Manager position.

Job responsibilities

• Plan and execute seed production activities to meet the company targets.

• Overseeing seed production through sustainable, reliable, cost effective and quality conscious seed production practices. 

• Identification of new seed production areas and organizers.

• Visiting all seed production sites, assessing the crop and educating growers on best practices to achieve the targets constantly and timely with high quality seeds. 

• To provide technical support to various production sites, addressing issues with crop management, pest and disease management as well as pollination and seed harvest mechanisms.

• Facilitate transfer of technical information across production locations.

Essential qualifications

• M Sc degree in Agronomy/ Plant Breeding/ Seed Science/ Entomology

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in seed production.

• Knowledge of agricultural production systems.

• Strong ability in effective communications with farmers and seed production organizers.

• Ability to travel extensively.

• Need to be self motivated and understand how to deliver against stated company goals and objectives.

• Team player with good interpersonal skills.

• Established ability to meet timelines, troubleshoot in complex situations, and achieve set targets.

• Should have good Computer Skills.

Additional qualifications

• Working in similar capacity in the industry.

• Fluency in local languages.
