Technico is an international agri-biotechnology company
employing over 300 people worldwide, with established offices in
China, India, Canada and the Middle East.
TECHNICO is seeking a
Deputy GM Technology for our TECHNITUBER® production
facilities currently located in China and India. You will be
responsible for the day to day management and supervision of
these facilities.
You will be required to travel between China and India, and
other locations as required. The right person will have a mature
attitude, but age is not a barrier. Enthusiasm for the position
and a passion for the role are key characteristics. Training
will be carried out in house for specific areas.
Essential criteria
•
Greenhouse or intensive horticultural crop experience
• Crop nutrition, pest and disease management skills
• Production management and planning - proven skills and
experience
• Horticultural, agricultural or biological sciences (or
similar) qualifications
• Ability to travel and work independently, awareness of
cultural diversity
• English speaker – good communication skills, computer
literate
• Ability to manage multiple projects and to prioritise work
flow and meet deadlines and goals
In addition, our wish list would
include
• Potato
crop experience
• Pathology background
• Quality assurance system experience
• Engineering aptitude, initiative to transfer and improve
technology
• Tissue culture experience
