POSITION:
Plant
Coordinators (2 positions)
Mycogen Seeds, a wholly owned affiliate of
Dow AgroSciences,
is looking for two highly
talented individuals to coordinate all plant activities for its
York, Nebraska and Marshalltown, Iowa seeds production
facilities.
This role will provide leadership and technical expertise to an
empowered team to establish and implement best practices to
support world class corn seeds production operation. This role
will also work with plant coordinators at other Mycogen
locations to improve processes within North American Seed
Operations.
Responsibilities
-
Develop
work processes and model behaviors that support the overall
location safety program.

Coordinate all plant-based operations within Intake,
Conditioning, Rebag/Retag, Warehousing and Distribution
activities.

Be the
plant knowledgeable resource to work with the Business team,
stakeholders, and Plant personnel to optimize long term
plant production.

Assist in
the development of the plant specific Business rules for
"Produce to Plan / Record Production Data" and ensures plant
procedures are developed and used to apply the defined
Business rules.

Ensure
effective measurement tools are in place to track production
yields, raw material conversion and asset utilization.

As a
member of a multi-location network of Plant Activities
Coordinators, develop and implement best practices and
uniform work processes that are consistent across all corn
seed production locations.

Assist in
developing annual budgets and monitor location spending
against budget.

Identify
need and justification for capital improvement projects.
Work with Production Leader to develop location Capital
Improvement Plan.

Lead and
participate in Six Sigma projects to drive productivity.

Cooperate
and collaborate with the Production Leader and other
locations' coordinators to optimize overall location labor,
equipment and facility needs.

Lead the
development and utilization of natural work group
performance scorecards, with primary measures focused on
safety, cost control, yield improvement, and seed quality
which are aligned with the NA Seed Operations and other
location teams.

Support
the empowerment efforts within the location.
Technical & Business Skills
Required – Minimum Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences,
Mechanized Agriculture, Mechanical Engineering, or
Agriculture related degree.

Minimum
two years Seeds processing or production experience

Excellent
leadership and team process skills, as well as an ability to
lead a team & facilitate problem solving

Excellent
written and verbal communication skills
