Application Manager
De Ruiter Seeds is an
internationally renowned company specialized in the breeding,
producing and selling of hybrid seeds. We focus specifically on
six product groups: tomato, cucumber, pepper, melon, aubergine

For our Technology Application department, we are looking for a
TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION MANAGER for 40 hours a week.
The department:
Research
at De Ruiter Seeds is divided between two departments: a
Corporate Research department for the whole of De Ruiter
Seeds and Technology Application departments at each R&D
establishment. Technology Application provides service and
support activities to various sections of the company in the
fields of biochemistry, cell biology, phytopathology,
microbiology and molecular breeding. Supervisors are
responsible for planning and operational implementation of
the support activities within their discipline.
The job:
Within
the Technology Application department, you, the Manager,
will be responsible for the supervision of the supervisors
and drawing up the department’s annual plans along with its
policy. You will also be responsible for making sure that
the department’s processes proceed in an efficient and, in
terms of quality, optimal way and in accordance with the
long-term strategic plan. In addition, you will be
responsible for enforcing various quality management systems
in the department. All this will be in close collaboration
with the Breeding Manager.
Your profile:
You have
a university education followed by a minimum of 5 years’
relevant work experience. Experience in managing teams in a
company environment is preferred, as are decisiveness, drive
and creativity. You are, of course, a team player who is
able to bridge various disciplines.
