Breeding
Technician

For Paprika Breeding unit, we are looking for a BREEDING
TECHNICIAN for 38 hours a week.
The job:
In the
position of Breeding Technician, you will work closely with
the breeder to realize the breeding plan for the particular
crop. You will carry out breeding activities in accordance
with the breeder’s assignments. You will take over from the
breeder in his absence. You will take care of collecting,
processing and analysing observations from breeding and
variety tests (or having them processed and analysed) based
upon which you advise the breeder. You will keep your
knowledge of crops and genetics up-to-date by reading
reports, literature and following internal and external
courses.
Your profile:
For this
position you need to have successfully completed an HBO
(Higher Vocational Education) in Breeding or be prepared to
follow this course. You will be able to work correctly with
the breeder, the company director, the foreman and the crop
workers. You will also have a good command of the English
language.
