POSITION:
General
Manager
Ball Horticultural Company,
a world leader in ornamental horticultural industry, officially
unveiled its first operation in China; Ball Horticultural
(Kunming) Co. Ltd. in February 2006. Ball China has started seed
and vegetative production at its first class production
facility; it also conducts extensive research and trials on
ornamental products and cut flower distribution.
To promote our corporate objectives, we have an immediate
opening for a General Manager at our Ball China location
to direct all business functions of the Ball Horticultural
Company division, based in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China;
including production, research activities, commercial
activities, and all administration functions. This individual
will manage the current production functions at the Ball China
production location as well as take on the completion of a
second production location underway, which will include hiring
and building a management team. The talented individual will be
responsible for the coordination and initiation of new
activities for this division including sales & distribution and
additional research initiatives.
This position will require domestic and international travel
approximately 20% of the time.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing,
Business, Agri-business, Horticulture, or other relevant field,
with significant management experience in international markets.
Demonstrated skills in developing a function or business unit,
planning skills and problem-solving skills.
