Technical
Manager – Seed Production Support

the distribution chain.
To further our corporate objectives, we have an immediate
opening for a talented Technical Manager who will provide
technical support to various production sites, addressing issues
with crop culture, pest and disease management, as well as
pollination and seed harvest mechanisms. This individual will
work with Production Research functions at various production
sites to improve their current production routines on a
continual basis; plan and execute complementary laboratory and
greenhouse research trials in West Chicago to address problems
identified at the production sites; facilitate the transfer of
technical information across production locations.
This position will require
travel approximately 50% of the time to our production sites in
Guatemala, Costa Rica and potentially China.
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in Agricultural
Science, with formal training in crop physiology, entomology,
microbiology and plant pathology and a minimum of 5 years’
experience in seed or crop production. An in-depth knowledge of
integrated pest management and crop nutrition are required.
Working knowledge of Spanish is strongly preferred.
