POSITION:
Research
Assistant I/II
Monsanto, an ag industry leader creating scientific
breakthroughs around the world, is seeking a motivated RESEARCH
ASSISTANT I/II for our team in Woodland, California.
In this role the candidate will assist with all field
operations, including planting yield trial plots, data
collection, and harvest of yield trail plots as well as with
drip irrigation scheduling, system maintenance and operation.
The candidate will perform computer-related activities,
including hand held data collection and data management and will
assist with all seed lab operations, including seed shelling,
packaging, treating and packet arrangement. Additionally, the
candidate will maintain timely and accurate data collection from
research plots and will implement site safety programs to ensure
a safe work environment.
The successful candidate will have a BS in an Agricultural
related field, or 3 years agricultural research experience.
Individual leadership skills including excellent organizational
and record keeping skills and proficiency in word processing and
spreadsheet programs are essential. Must possess basic knowledge
of crop production and farming practices as well as farm
equipment operation. Spanish/English speaking is desirable.
Occasional extended work hours during peak season.
